ABSTRACT LOVERS Exhibition in Chelmsford

I am proud to announce I was a part of the Abstract Lovers exhibition at an art gallery in Chelmsford, Essex. I was super excited when the opportunity came about because of my deep connection with abstract art and the chance of exhibiting in my home town.

For this exhibition I wanted to create a series of six paintings which explored expressive painting techniques. For these paintings I would use an old piece of wood from a canvas and dip it in paint

and launch it onto the canvas in a Jackson Pollock fashion. I broke these paintings up so they could also be split into two sets of three. One set was painted on a pure white background to show the marks and the undertones that you might not be able to see on a coloured background. I then added another set of three with various coloured backgrounds to contrast the other series of three and to also add some depth in the collection.
